"The ambiance is amazing; the food even better."

I emailed Pascal about a week before we were planning to come in, and he assured me that there were many things on the menu I could eat and that he’d be more than happy to help me out when we arrived. And boy, he didn’t disappoint. I think the steak I had was one of the best I’ve ever had – ever. The really cool thing about Allium, besides the yummy food and gluten-free friendly service, is their deep commitment to local, farm fresh foods. They source most of their food from local farms and host these awesome “Neighborhood Dinners” once a month that feature amazing food from local farmers.

"The Farm Comes to Allium — has all that going for it."
There are a lot of eat for a good cause events in and around Portland it’s always hard to choose which ones to write about here. I don’t have a complicated formula. It’s usually pretty simple why I write about one and not another. If it’s an event that I’m going to, or would want to go to, and if I like the folks involved and I have time and space to write about it then I do. It’s that simple. ...The dinner is in partnership with Oregon Tilth and 10% of the evening’s proceeds go to the organization.

"Another Neigborhood dinner at local "Allium" stimulated both our taste buds and conversation."
Our second course was a stunning Chanterelle Tart, which comprised caramelized onions as well as the duck fat roasted chanterelle's....The Braised Lamb with sweet onions, and currants was INCREDIBLE! The lamb melted in my mouth along with the accompanying brown butter Orzo. It was so good, we had several plates of it.

"Phenomenal"
I had dinner there last night! I sat at the bar and had a Great Manhattan. It was really really good. The atmosphere was comfortable with a great vibe.
I was gonna order a burger but I decided to go with the Duck Confit and it was Phenomenal! The Skin So Nice & Crispy! and the Flageolets seasoned perfectly! and the Brussel sprouts went with it so well...
I will be bringing my wife in soon...
Thank you, Keep It Up!!!

 "Heavenly"
My husband, daughter and I headed to Allium for dinner tonight and were very impressed. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that HH goes till 6:30 and we took full advantage. The food was fantastic! We had several dishes and enjoyed them all - the highlights were the French onion soup, burger (my husband said it was the best he's ever had) and, perhaps best of all, espresso bread pudding. Heavenly. The staff was very accommodating of our baby and perfectly helpful and professional. We will definitely be back!

"I love this restaurant"
It is warm and inviting and the food is wonderful. The staff are professional and make you feel at home. We are excited that there is such a good restaurant in West Linn. We don't have to drive in to Portland anymore! I highly recommend this place.

"The food and service were excellent"
I have been to this restaurant twice in the last week. The first time was for a fabulous dinner and the second was for a fun filled happy hour with a group of friends. Both dining experiences were wonderful and I have told all my friends that they need to experience this new find in the Old Willamette area. The food and service were excellent on both my trips there, and to be honest, there were several of us in the happy hour group and the staff handled the exuberant group with grace, efficiency and style. Not an easy task given the fun being had by all.

"We love it. This is the best food in town."
We no longer have to drive to Lake Oswego to enjoy sophisticated food. I've tried three different entrees and each one has been unique and savory. It is also a nice and relaxing atmosphere. Looking forward to going back for more.

"The polenta is to die for"

We have been to Allium a few times since it opened and I've found it simply lovely. The food is gorgeous and delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and not fussy and the prices are totally reasonable. We've had a few low key (you can actually hear each other talk!) dinners with wine and sharing a few plates and we've just enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The polenta is to die for, the halibut and the chicken were flavorful and outstanding and the burger kicks ass. I pigged the entire cheese plate myself then did some damage to what was left of the bread pudding. Can't wait to go back. I think it may have taken us 10 minutes to get there from SW Portland.

"We'll definitely be back"
The spousal unit and I had dinner with another couple at this new bistro, this past Friday. And we were greatly impressed. Simple bistro cooking with excellent ingredients. We started with a cheese plate appetizer, I had the fantastic mushroom soup, and we each had a different entree. Lamb Shank, roasted chicken, halibut and I had the flatiron steak. Great service, and a wonderful new addition to Willamette Village in West Linn..we'll definitely be back.
